On June 20, 2025, Reinaldo Aquit, a 48-year-old Miami Beach resident, was arrested by the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). He faces nine charges, including a felony charge of vessel homicide, and eight additional misdemeanors.
